An oral health checkup and cleaning are usually combined into a single appointment. A dental hygienist guides you through the treatment and your dentist will stop by now and again to supervise and see how you’re doing.

Step 2: The hygienist will then brush and floss your teeth for you. This helps freshen your breath and remove discoloration.
Step 3: Polishing your smile.
Step 4: Fluoride treatment. The solution will sit on your teeth for 1 minute; then you can spit and rinse.
